CHRISTMAS: A word which bears a multitude of meanings here in America. According to Google, Christmas is defined as; the annual Christian festival celebrating Christ’s birth….
But we all know what it really means: Shopping anxiety, lying to children, overworked retail employees, an increase in theft and a widespread sense of selfishness & entitlement. Jingle bells start ringing and suddenly we feel as though the stress and financial burdens placed upon our loved ones as they tirelessly hunt down the perfect gift for us are justified.
Okay, now that you know my thoughts on how America has perverted the true meaning of Christmas, I’ll remove my [faux] Grinch fur coat and tell you what you want to hear—“Christmas is a magical time of year! A special season when we all open our hearts [wallets] and spread love, joy, and cheer with our friends and family!” [Cue fake snow, pixie dust, and Pepto Bismol for my sudden nausea.] With my prologue out of the way, let’s get to the real question:
WHICH FASHION MUST-HAVES ARE ON YOUR CHRISTMAS LIST THIS YEAR??
At the top of my Christmas list is to travel, however following closely behind plane tickets to San Francisco & Las Vegas are these fabulous finds:
1. A-FREAKIN’-MAZING, Turquise Blazer- H&M $79
2. Komono Wizard Leopard watch- Urban Outfitters $75
3. Tripp NYC Indigo Dot Jeans- Urban Outfitters $78
4. Adorable sequined “Disney” T-shirt- H&M $15
5. Bed Stuy Patriot Boots- $145
I’m sure I could be called lazy because most of my list is from the same two stores, but oh well. I think I’m just making it easier for “Santa”!
